Review: "Lonesome Paladin": An Urban Fantasy Novel (A Fistful of Daggers Book 1)

SM Reine as always does not disappoint!

I have always been a big fan of Lincoln, even in all his moodiness, so this book was a must-read for me. Surprisingly, it also contained a secondary storyline staring Fritz and Cesar, for those of you not familiar with them you are really missing out on some great reads. Even though we know how Lincoln's story ends up we don't know how it unfolds and this book begins the daunting task of unfolding his story. I have a sneaky feeling it is also somehow tied in with Sophie Keyes, the newest addition to the ever-expanding character list in the world of SM Reine. I can't wait to see what Reine has in store for Lincoln and Sophie, I know it will be interesting.

In the meantime "Lonesome Paladin" shows us just how creative of an author Reine is. Her storyline, character description, and scene setup are so real you almost feel as if you are there. Especially if you are sitting on a beach in the hot sun reading like I was. It's not too far-fetched to believe you are right beside Lincoln and Sophie sweating it away in the Middle Worlds. But if you have read any of her previous work, then this comes as no surprise to you. If you haven't then I suggest you start with the Seasons of the Moon series, I did, and you will soon understand why we are all crazy about SM Reine.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Review of Cast in Balefire: The Mage Craft Series Book 4

An action packed page turner!

Once again SM Reine has left us reeling from another action-packed page turner. I’m not one for giving away the good parts, which is a good thing when it comes to Cast in Balefire, because it’s slam packed with tons of goodies. Especially when it comes to something as complicated as love. Marion is in love with Seth, Konig is nothing but a big fat cheating liar of a husband. Not to mention due to the lack of love between the two, Marion must worry about her own safety while trying to figure out a way to save Seth, a God, and oh my Gods there just might be a possibly she can still get her memories back. Will she? Does she even want them back? So many questions. Honestly, there is a lot packed into this one book; answers to questions, questions that now need answering, and tons of twist and turns to keep the reader on their toes. You won’t be disappointed with this one. Can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in January with Cast in Godfire.

I received an ARC of this book for my fair and honest review.

Review: Cast in Faefire by: SM REINE

Once again SM Reine has added another favorite to our ever growing list of favorites!

As always I do my best to not over share info so you don’t have to worry about spoilers.

Some books deserve more than a 5-star rating and this would be one of them. Just when we think that we have the story line figured out and we know just what’s going to happen Reine pulls a white rabbit out of her hat and sends us spinning in amazement and wonder. If you don’t get anything else from her writing you will get that anything is possible; even cheating death (which we saw Elise do countless times).

As we continue to tag along on Marion and Seth’s journey you can’t help but love them and hate them all at the same time. As Marion tries to remember her past it’s easy to find yourself wishing she never remembers all while cheering her on all at the same time. If/when she remembers how will that change her and Seth’s relationship? Is it worth the risk? Or is it a risk at all? Seth, however, has his own problems to deal with. As much as he wants and tries to protect Marion is it possible that he could be what she needs protection from or is he the one who needs the protection instead? Seth finds himself battling his own problems that are inevitably tied to his destiny. Love seems to no longer be a possibility for these two as other things take propriety over what their hearts want. Or will love find a way?

So many questions, so few answers, and even less time left in this series! This is why I am ecstatic that Reine decided to expand the series from 3 to 5 books. There is so much we still need to know!

If you haven’t read any of ‘The Mage Craft’ series books you are missing out. The series can be read as a stand along series or if you want to learn more about Seth and Marion’s pasts then I suggest you start with the ‘Seasons of the Moon’ series.

Review: Cast in Hellfire: Book 2 of the Mage Craft Series

Reine does such a great job of writing her books that it makes it even more difficult to review them without giving away spoilers. And if you have read any of my other reviews you will know that I don’t do spoilers, but now that we are on to book 2, Cast in Hellfire, of the Mage Craft series I can shout from the rooftops that Seth Wilder is back and even dreamier than ever. Yes, ladies the dashing doctor Lucas Flynn are non-other than the death-defying"> Seth Wilder. However, this is not the only awesome thing we get to look forward to in book 2, we also find out so many other juicy tidbits of info like what happened to Seth when he died, where and with whom Marion’s memories are, as well as getting to read about where a few of the old characters are now and what they are up to.

You don’t have to have read any of Reine’s previous books, she does an awesome job of filling the reader in, but it would fill in some of the deeper holes that are left; like Seth Wilder’s full story. (New Moon Summer: The Cain Chronicles, Book 1 is available for free in Kindle edition.)

As always, this was a brilliantly written book and I can’t wait to read book 3 so I can see what other interesting and exciting things the vivid mind of SM Reine has in store for her much-beloved characters.

*Yes, I did receive an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion, but I would gladly have purchased it as I have done so many times before with her others.*

Review: Cast in Angelfire: An Urban Fantasy Romance

Cast in Angelfire: An Urban Fantasy Romance Cast in Angelfire: An Urban Fantasy Romance by SM Reine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another spellbinding story from the Word Goddess SM Reine

Once again SM Reine has done the unthinkable and extended her magical world to include even more beloved characters in a story that takes our breath away! Just when we think we have seen it all Reine sends our heads spinning with a new and exciting trilogy about 'a half-angel, half-human Mage' named Marion Garin who only knows her name and the name of the only person who can help save her. As Marion searches for her lost memories and the elusive Seth Wilder, bounty hunters continue to search for her! Can she find Seth and get her memories back in time?

This book definitely receives two thumbs up! Can't wait for book 2!

Ever Coming shocks and awes readers with Riding Her Unicorn: A BBW Shifter Romance from the Woodland Creek Series.

Jason is a billionaire Unicorn shifter who is in town on family business.  Amber is a broken Jaguar shifter squatting in his great aunt’s house as she tries to fix her Jaguar. At first glance they are each hot for the other, but will their romance last or will it fizzle out like the fierce storms that continue to threaten the town? Storms that bring with them not just new friends, but also long sought after answers for all. Can a billionaire Unicorn shifter fix a broken Jaguar?
I have to admit this was my first Ever Coming book and my first BBW book, but as so many have noted before me: romance is the same no matter how big or small a female is. Now with that out of the way, this was a jaw dropping, eye popping OMG kind of book! Definitely an 18+ book. The only problems I found was that the beginning was kind of confusing with the way the back story was added, it jumps from the present to the past back to the present without any warning. Also, there were numerous grammatical errors that slow the flow of reading.  Other than that I’m over here wondering when we will get to read more about Amber and Jason. Coming has carved out very detailed characters who help to draw the reader in and keep them there and wanting more. Riding Her Unicorn is only 114 pages, but it is packed full of romance, suspense, and drama. I’m definitely going to have to check out Coming’s other books!

I received this book free from the author in exchange for my honest review.
